Both the British and Kuasian Le«itwps made urgent representations, and •obd pressure is contemplated to convince the Stan of the earnestness of the British and Russian demands.
REASON FOR ABOLISHING THE CONSTITUTION. AGAINST ISLAMIC LAWS. Received 23, midnight. Teheran, November 23 Ihe Shah, in a rescript addressed to the reactionary priests, said his reason tor abolishing the Constitution was that the new Constitution was against the Islamic laws.
