We regret to learn that Jlr. .T. Wliitaker is at present seriously indisposed, and ins condition is causing his friends considerable anixetv.

The death occurred o,i Snlurdav at liawera of Mi-. A. C. Parkinson (usually known as "Krcd"), so n of .Mr. \V. A. Parkinson, proprietor of tty. Hawcra' Star. The deceased, who was only 2o years of age ami not long married, was well-known ami deservedly popular throughout the length and breadth of the province, and beyond, llis quiet, unassuming ways made friends for him everywhere, and his face will be much missed, especially in the district around IJawora. It is but a short time since Mr, Parkinson, senr., lost his wife, and we tender him our sincere sympathy in this further sad bereavement. 'The cause of death was heart failure.
