Yesterday afternoon a prisoner named Norman, at Terrace final, employed at cabinetmaking. suddenly attacked Mr Armstrong, foreman of the goal, with a chisel, inilirting serious injury on the neck ami just mining tile jugular vein. Xorman then made a dash for liberty, but was re-captured. He will bi charged before the Court 071 Monday. Fie is a prisoner serving sentence for indecent assault on a boy. Armstrong this afternoon is in a low condition.
