SERIOUS ASSAULt CASE, Gisrborne, Friday. A laboring man named William Harvey was seriously assaulted and found with several injuries about his head. Harvev alleges that a man named James Jackson, with whom he was drinking yesterilav, came into ihis house and attacked nun with a wool hook without provooa* tion. Jackson has been arrested on a charge of assault and causing bodily harm, and remanded, as Harvey ia not in a condition to appear.
