A well-known contractor of Milton, Daniel Allison, was killed to-dav near Waitaiiuua. lie was driving a conveyance for the election, and it is supposed his horse slipped on a steep face. Chatham, who was arrested as a vagrant, iwas found dead in a police cell this illuming, lie was ill when found at l'ukerua Hill yesterday, lie said he had been previously ill and did not want a doctor. He appeared better at midnight when lie was last seen alive. Deceased had come from Xew South Wales.
