Mr. F. 1. Jiellringcr, town clerk, then lead the handsomely-got-up address alter which the Mayor introduced Sir Joseph \\ ard. whom lie invited to make the presentation. The Premier stated that he otten had pleasant duties to peiiorm. l.ul perhaps the most pleasant duty ol all was that of making public leeognition ol the services of gentlemen who wrought for the welfare -Of the public.
