Resolved that Mr. F. Merrin be appointed pound-keeper, the clerk to arrange with him re upkeep of sections and remuneration. Surfaceman Paul reported he had been engaged in cleaning watertables and formation on Wortley and Richmond roads. .Surfaceman Palmerreported he had formed a portion <uf York road aud grubbed furze on the Te Arei rjoad. A culvert on York road required raising, and a side cutting on' the same road above Moby's gate required forming, and a new culvert was required ofi Upper Te Arei road, which he thought would take fourteen !)-uu:1l pipes. The above works were authorised. Surfaceman Paul was directed to get a certain terrace ploughed, also to clean outlet of culvert on Te Arei road. Tenders wore accepted for contracts as advertised, on Te Avei road 5s peri-yard, Mr. E.-.Riclmrds; Tate road, 5s 3d per yard, Mr. W. Cartwright; Manutahi West 4s 6d per yard, Wortley 4b per yard, Manutahi East 3s Od per yard; BroWn 6s per yard, and Richmond 3* per yard, Messrs. H.
