LABOR PARTS WITHDRAW FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Received 0, 9.55 p.m. Melbourne, November C. K Mr. Fisher announced that the Labo' Party had decided to withdraw their support from the Government. He gave no specific reasons. In reply to Mr. Deakin, Mr. Fisher said he had no motion to submit, l'flc House adjourned. Received 7, 0.2 Oa.m, Melbourne, November 8. Mr, Fisher, in announcing the withdrawal of the Labor Party's uspport from the Government, said their »*..»•' tions with the Government had been of a most friendly character. The Party had always endeavored to- co-op-erate with the Government in every possible way. He thought it concerned the welfare of the Commonwealth, and in a straightforward manner he had endeavored to the best of his ability to restrain any adverse criticism within reasonable bounds, and safeguard the interests of the country in Parliament, but situations had arisen frequently v.i which they felt the restraint that a "large party like ours must feel in Buch difficult circumstances." He realised the tine might arise when such action might be taken by one party or the other which would create a crisis. Mr. Taken endorsed Mr. Fisher's statements regarding the relations between the two parties. The Labo? Party were absolutely free from any obligation to the Government, and t;> take any course they thought fit. The House adjourned till Tuesday. Mr. Deakin's colleagues scout the idea of taking any notice of Mr. Fuller's announcement. it is understood Mr. Fisher made overtures to some members of the Opposition, and there 13 also some talk of reconstruction and coalition coming out of the complications.
