This match, played on the Recreation! Ground, resulted in an easy win for Uie country team. The wicket was fa i, and liuiupy at each end. Rovers won tile toss, hut were disposed of for !)2. llascll was in an aggressive mood, and compiled 45, included in which were a six and seven fours. Price (24) and Elliott U (not out) were the other principal scorers. The fielding of t'ie town team was very bad, and this, with the absence of Lash and Weston, \v is mainly responsible for their defeat.
