HAWKE'S BAY JUBILEE.
THANK.SG.UVJNG SERVICE. By Telegraph Tress Association. Napier, Last Night, In commemmoration of the jubilee of tile province of llawkc'u Bay, a thanksgiving service was held in the AnglicanCathedral this afternoon. The large congregation included old settlers, representatives of local bodies and Co vcruuicut departments, volunteers, veterans, and members of the lire service. Canon Mayne, in tile course of his address, paid testimony to the indoniTtable courage, energy and enduring p,i tience of the pioneers. The first lesson was read by Rev. A. C. Lawry (Methi odist) and tile second by Rev. J. A. I Aslier (Presbyterian). The singing was led by a combined choir.
