CIIiU'STCHUKCH STOCK MARKET. At Addinglon live stock market on Wednesday there was only a medium entry of .stock in all departments, aud prices were on a par with those which ruled at the previous sale. There was a very large attendance of graziers, farmers, and buyers,. and all classes of stock wi'm rather keenly competed for. The yarding of store sheep was somewhat smaller than the previous wee':, and consisted of several lots of ewes and lambs, a few pens of wethers, two or three of which were shorn, iind hoggets in the wool. Competition ;was very keen, and prices were fully up to those of last Wednesday. Crossbri-.l wethers realised up to llis (id; halfbreds, to 17s Id; ewes and lambs, all counted, to lis 4d; hoggets, to 12s lOd; merino ewes and lambs, all counted, to lis. There were 300 fat lambs penned, which included some oi superior quality. The demand was not so keen, and prices in consequence showed a slight decline, values ranging from 12s to 18s fid, accord ing to condition. Fat Sheep.—The entry of fat sheep was below that of Wednesday last, but included an increased number of shorn sheep. DUNEDTN STOCK MARKET. At Burnside on Wednesday 230 heal of fat cattle went yarded. Owing to the large yarding and the absence of country butchers prices were much easier, medium quality showimr the greatest fall. Best bullocks, £lo'to £11; medium to good, £0 to £!) 10s; inferior, £7 to £7 10s; best cows and heifers, £7 10s to £8 10s; medium to good, £0 to £0 15s; inferior, £4 16s to £5 ss. Fat sheep—2B3o penned. Prices for prime wethers were, if anything, little better than last week's rates. Best wethers, 21s to 23s 9d; extra, to 24s 6d; medium, 17s to 20s; inferior and light, 8s to 16s; best ewes, 17s l)d; extra, IDs 9d. Fat lambs—l 27 were penned. Prices snowed a decline on last week's rates, ranging from 13s 3d to 21s !)d. l'igs-130 yarded.
