THE SCARLET TROUBADOURS. The many music lovers of New Plymouth who will remember the enjoy- , «ent derived from Mr. Edward Branseombe'e last visit to New Zealand with the famous Westminster Glee Singers, •will doubtless welcome the advent of •nother party of vocalists under his direction, in the. forthcoming visit of Ae "Scarlet Troubadours" who are announced to appear at the Theatre ' Royal on Tuesday and Wednesday, Noyduller 3rd and 4th. This company, however, provide a rather different . class of music, their programme being for the most part of a light and refined humorous character served up' in a v quaint and novel form, the numbers be- • fiig "acted", in costume. There are "Troubadours," two amongst tie number "being ladies, one monologue enter- ' tainer of London repute, and aa avthnmorist who is an adept in the manipulation of colored chalks. The vocal abilities of each member of the company is spoken of by Australian press critics in the highest terms of praise.
