'the death is reported of Mr'. A. S. Aldrich, Japanese Consul for \ow Zealand, at. hi.s home at Paraparaunm. Jic had been ailing for some time, and quilt recently disposed of his farm at Panparaunio, intending to take a trip to 'Kngland. About a week ago he was at'tacked with a. paralytic Mi'oke, whi.'h ended fatally yesterday. I'ress wire, The death occurrcil yesterday morning ot" Mrs, Weston, wife of Mr. t. S. Wes" ton, of New Plymouth. The news will he received with deep regret bv a very large circle of friends, not only in New '.Plymouth, but in other parts of the Dominion, particularly in Canterbury anil on the West. Coast., where, during the several years that her husband was District. Judge, Mrs, \\ esiou endeared herself to all with whom >he came in contact, by her unvarying kindness and amiability. Mrs. Weston leaves four sons—Messrs. Similar Weston (Wellington), (ioorge Weston (Christchurch}. Waller C. Weston and Claude 11. Weston (New Plymouth). The greatest sympathy is extended to them and to Mr. T. S. Weston in their loss.
