London, October 27. The executive of the Lancashire unions of spinners, cardroom hands, and weavers held a joint meeting to consider the proposed reduction of wages. Mr. X). J. Shacklcton,. M.P., presided. The meeting decided to approach the masters with a joint proposal for a settlement of the dispute. APPEAL TO THE PARTIES. Received 28, 11.38 p.m. London, October 28. A mooting of nineteen Lancashire mayors jippealed to the employers and employees to terminate the cotton trade dispute.
