MELBOURNE WOOL .SALES, Melbourne, October 27. Tile dispute in the wool trade which caused buyers to refuse to attend the sales has been settled. The opening sale was largely attended. The new clip is badly grown, but line in quality. I'rices are on a parity with those ruling in London, but by comparison with last season's opening prices sales for merinos and fine crosslinks are 2o per cent, lower.
WHEAT AND FLOUR. London, October 2G. The quantity of wheat and Hour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,080,000 quarters; for the Continent 2,005,000 quarters; Atlantic shipments, 408,000 'quarters; Pacific .shipments 150,000 quarters. The total shipments to Europe for the week amounted to 1,435,000 quarters, including 101,000 quarters from Argentina and Uruguay. VICTORIAN WHEAT YIELD. Melbourne, October 27. The Railway Commissioners estimate the wheat yield of the State at 22,000,000 bushels. NEW ZEALAND WOOL RETURNS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.
