INQUEST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. • ChrisldiurtA, Night. An inquest whs held at tile Jio.siiit;il to-dsiy before Mr. 11. Bishop, District Coroner, concerning the death of James Kiipatrick, who died at that institution. It appears that Kiipatrick was arrested on October 14th on a charge of drunkenness. lie appeared at the Court on t'he 15th insl., mid was remanded for | medical treatment till the 22nd insl. I On the 18th inst. he was removed from the gaol to the hospital, and died there on the 20th inst. Dr. Crooke stated that Hie man was in a, dying condition I when lie reached the hospital. The enI quirv was adjourned so that Dr. Newell, the gaol surgeon, might attend and give evidence.
