H is stated that at the last meeting ot the trade* and Labor Council attention was called to the fact that marked discourtesy had been shown to the liinie Minister and other members of the Government by the omission of the Labor Day Committee to invite them to the demonstration on Labor Day. A motion was proposed censuring' the members of the Council who had writ-
ten to the newspapers for and against the action of the committee. A liveiv discussion ensued. Some plain strong language was used. An amendment was moved that an apology be sent to the Ministers for the conduct ol the committee, and that the Council .should disclaim responsibility for the committee s action, In the course of the discussion it was alleged the action had) been taken by the Independent Political Labor l'arty for the purpose of (lis-1 crediting if possible, the <!<ivernnient'sj action. 'J he two sections of labor frcc'yj ; commented ou the members of the Liberal and Labor Parly, contending that j the trades and Labor Council, by ii.s pie-sent attitude, had earned the contempt of the working men of the Do- ' minion.
