Tlie Times' Washington correspondent reports that the Agricultural Department 'has completed experiments which show that the use of maise straw for the purpose of making paper pulp is satisfactory. It is improbable that tiie maize straw pulp will oust the wood pulp, but its use may check further rise in the price of paper. INSURING AGAINST RIOTS, London, October 18.
