AWFUL RAILWAY ACCIDENT
DERAILED TRAIN TAKES FIRE. FIFTEEN* CHARRED SKELETONS FOUND. FIREMAN BOILED TO DEATH. Received 18, 4.20 p.m. New York, October 18. Forest fires destroyed a railway culvert, derailing a trainload of fugitives from Mctz, in Michigan. , The wreckage and piles of railway sleepers took lire, and the men, becoming panic-stricken, fled, leaving the women and children in a steel car, in which fifteen charred skeletons wens afterwards found. A fireman who took refuge in aa engine tank was boiled to death. r
