'Hie Tiuetti brothers, l'ellas, said , were mechanics. They liad been suspected of making castings for bombs ,which were to be intended for Cabrera, .and were shadowed by the President's agents, arrested and varown into a dungeon. Here they wure tortured by the , guards, who jammed their gun muzzles into their stomachs and called upon , them to confess. The brothers would confess nothing, as they claimed they were innocent, and according to l'ellas, were immediately condemned to be hanged. The cruiser Puglia had entered tire Harbour just at this time, and her captain was notified by a countryman of the Tinetti brothers of what was going on. A detachment of armed marines was sent ashore and demanded the liberty of the imprisoned Italians. Willi many excuses and apologetic bows Cabrera ordered that they lie released. Tliev then made their esi„pe from the ter-ror-striken country and lied to Honduras, according to tile story of l'ellas.
