W'AITARA. jtfext Thursday evening, in St. John's Jlull, Mr. W. T. .Jennings, ,\l.l\, will address the elector* of the Tnnmuranni electorate. His Worship the -Mayor will occupy the chair. -\lr. H. E. (filbert and his two daughters had an unpleasant capsize from a buggy last Sunday morning in High Street. Happily no one was injured, but the vehicle was somewhat damaged. Last Saturday evening a presentation was made at a performance of the .Royal Pictures to .1. Adlani, the youth who made the fastest time in the recent boys' cycle race from Waitara to Ma* n»araka bridge and back. The Koyal Pictures Syndicate were the donors of the prize, a cycle lamp. October 13.
XtJATOKO. A 'meeting of suppliers was held in thv Dudley Road Schoolroom on Thursday evening, - Bth instant, to consider the proposed dairy regulations. Mr. J». T. Kgarr was voted to the chair, a'id requested Mr. liiggall to act as secretary to (he meeting. A copy of the regulations was read, and after a lengthy and mainly adverse diseussirn thereon the following resolution w«s moved by the chairman:—"That th ; s meeting protests against the proposed dairy regulations in their present form, considering that, it would harass the settlers and do no good." This was seconded by Mr. Brereton, and carried by 15 votes to 1. it was decided to Head a copy of the resolution to the Minister , for Agriculture and one to the member I for the district, Mr. W. T. Jennings, M.P.
