ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A RAILWAY ACCIDENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ChrjstcliurcJi, Saturday Night. A very painful accident ocu)'frcd at Lyttelton this morning to Mr. W. JR.; Cooksley, licensee of the British Hotels lie was crossing the railway yard n|car the station, and was attempting to pass between two trucks, which werjiibeing shunted, when tihey came together. Mr. Cocksley was caught on the hips by the bull'ers and was carried some distance before the trucksi could be stopped. Mr. Cocksley was carried to his hotel, vt'ihere lie was at tended by a doctor. It is feared that the hip bones are cruslied and tlmt Mr. Cocksley has sustained internal in J juries.
