Of the eleven sites submitted, it was evident after the first ballot that only two were really in the running. They were Dalgetv and Yass. Up to the sixth ballot Dalgetv was leading. At the seventh the voting wase equal. The ninth and final resulted: Yass 3!), Dalgety 33. The Senate has vet to give its verdict.
[Yass is in New South Wales, 187 miles south-west from Sydney, It is built on the river Yass, and has a population of a little over 2000.]
