ITOAIE DAIRY dilil'OßT. Mr. 'Newton King has received the following report from Alessrs I>. and W. Davidson, London and Olasgow:— Butter.—There has been a very disappointing demand this week for all grades, and it has been with extreme diflicutty that any advance has ben made. Our advices from Copenhagen indicate that the market there is dull, and to-day's quotation lias been declared four kroner down. Our weather conditions continue to be very favorable for the make of both butter and cheese. Danish and Swedish: The total shi-i----ineii'ls for this country showed a slight increase over the previous week. The market has been disappointing, and la-t week's advance of one kroner at Copenhagen ha, in most cases not been made. A fair quantity has ibecii left over unsold. We quote strictly choicest ni 120s to 4215.

Siberian: For fancy quality the demand has been very good, and stocks of this grade continue to be well clear';il at firm prices, viz., 108s to 110s. Chohe and medium grades are much more difficult to handle, the demand tor these being comparatively poor. Prices remain unchanged at 102s up to Kids. Our cable advices from Siberia quote the market there as being steady and unchanged. Irish creameries: The make continues to be heavy. The quality is still very fine, and meets with a good demand at about Is per cwt. more than last week, best dairies now being quoted at 11.5s to 116s. Irish farmers' firkins ami butts are steady at unaltered prices, viz., !)8s up to 102s.

Canadian creameries: During the past week there has been a little improvement in the demand on the spot for these goods, and certainly at the pries being quoted, viz., llos'to litis, they apparently -show good value 1,1 spot purchasers, although we are afraid the importers will not look at it ex.u-'.lv iu lids light, tables received this week from Canada quote choicest eastern townships at 11.3s to 115s lid, c.i.f. any iport in this country. These pric..- : . when landing and discount charges ai" added, appear to me for the moment prohibitive. Australian and \ew Zealand: Shipments are very small. Choicest New Zciiiand litis to 117s, choicest Australian 114s to litis, choice Australian 108s up to 112s. All the quotations are practically nominal. Imports to the United KingdomThe total arrivals of butter from Ist •laiiuary to the week ending 1.5 h August, for the last four years, are as fc! Iows:-lil05, 2,714,055cwt; lllllli. '2.SSCI,717c.wt; 11)07, 2.011.!)27cw1; l!K)8. 2.71K1. Joriewl.

Cheese.—Canadian: The market during the past few days has been considerably liriner, and prices are advanced about Is per cwt. Choicest white and colored are now being quoted at (ills to (lis.

New Zealand: The quantity on offer is now very small. Colored may be quoted at s!>s to (IDs, with white ai fils to tils Ud.
