HUGE LOSSES. SMALL FARMERS RUINED. Alberti, the Danish ex-Minister, emfecialcd £005,000 from the Peasants 1 ! Savings Bank. His forgeries on the Butter Association represent £225,000. The Daily Mail slates that it is understood" Wilier and Riley's losses represent n minor portion .of the latter amount, and apparently these losses are recoverable from tihe Association, which in turn can recover from the fanners, The Butter Trade Journal, of Copenhagen, states that fifty-two dairies are liable for £SOOO each. The loss may ruin some of the small farmers who had no idea tlhey had any responsibility after receiving payment for their milk.
