AN EACTIING EXPERIENCE.

When Halfway across the horses became frightened ami refused to proceed. They, were cut adrift and readied land safe, ly. The passengers had considerable, difficulty in getting ashore, the water, being over the high wheels of the. coach. _ The mails were washed away, but wit.li the exception of one bag were recovered to-day.
