Joseph Cupe, one of the oldest residents of Russell (Bay of Islands) fell from an oil launch and was drowned, His companion in Hie boat was first, apprised of the accident by the screw ceasing to revolve through the body striking it. SUPPOSED SUICIDE. Blenheim, Tuesday. It has been reported to the police that an old man named AVilliam Mills is missing from a lioardiug-hoii.se in town. Mills -was of eccentric babils and was lately before the Court on a charge of vagrancy. A watch and some papers were 'left behind. He had told u fellow boarder some duvs previously that the best thing he could do to get out of his troubles was to make an end of himself.
