In the road race between Uonlbourn and Sydney, RansK-y, a one-armed eytlist,' led' the whole way to within eight miles of home. He would uu-i doubtedly have won had he not tak :i ill ten unles front the winning pust. Robinson and Lareombc put up a fine finish, the former winning by three lengths. Ransley was third. The time was (i hours 47 minutes. Lareoiube inut up the fastest time, establishing a record, viz., li hours 35 minutes 50 sc--(onds. The New Zvalaud riders did not show prominently.
