.Loudon, September 18. ■A cricket match, Rest of England against Yorkshire, resulted ill n draw. The Kest oi England compiled 483 for 8 wilskcts and declared the innings closed. Bosauuuet scored 214. Yorkshire in the first innings scored 204 and in the second lost two wickets for 170. ENGLISH AVERAGES. Received 20, 4.30 p.m. London, August 19. The English cricket averages for the past Year are:—Batting: 1\ It. Johnson 75.37; RosanqiMt 54.05; Fry 52.03; 41. Foster 48.04; Hayward 45.82; Waraer 45.55; Runjitsiuhji 45.52; Tyl.desley 43.07; Jessop 41.88; Marshall 40.22; Tarrant 41.04. Cull'e is thirty-eighth with 33.40, and Poiduvin sixty-first with 20. King (a Philndelphian) heads the bowling averages with 87 wickets for 11.01; Haigh 103 for 13.30: Hirst 174 for 14.05. Tarrant is twelfth with 150 wickets for 10.08, and Marshall twen tvK'ightii with 50 wickets for 18.83.
