By Telegraph.—Press Association. invereargill, Last Night, -the Southland Sawmilters' Union ou Saturday flight declined to endorse ttie Canterbury Trades and Labor Council's resolution le the removal of Judge Sim from the Arbitration Court Uracil, but expressed its sympathy with the larm laborers. It approved Mr. McCulloughs minority reports and passed a resolution favoring legislation to compel the Court to make an award in any dispute before it. The strike clause in the sawniiltors* award was strongly resented, and it was resolved to "urge tile Government to take from uac Court power to insert a provision not asked for by either party to a dispute. Uunedin," Last Night. At a meeting of the Waterside Workers' Union to-night a. resolution was/, passed to the effect that the Union lias 110 faith in the Arbitration Court as at present constituted, and asks for the removal of Mr. Justice Sim. A motion was carried sympathising with (ilie Canterbury farm laborers in not receiving an award from the Court and congratulating Mr. McCullough 011 the stand lie took.
