The hearing of the information against William Bepean Mcintosh, headmaster of the Onclmnga public school, Charged with having assaulted John Leathart, a twelve-year-old pupil, by striking him with a cane, was concluded to-day, great interest being taken in Hie proceedings. The decision wag reserved. BAD LANGUAGE. Wellington, Last Night. Mr. Riddell, S.M., to-day sentenced David QUI7III to three weeks' imprisonment, without the option of a fin«, for using obscene language. Frank Watson, who recently attempted to commit suicide by taking a solution of limtchheads, was ordered to come up j for sentence when called upon.
