The rev. gentleman is a very able speaker and rivetted the attention of his congregations with his description of missionary and other work in New Guinea, At tile evening service -Mir. Broiuclow spoke for some minutes, giving nn interesting a.'eount of her personal experiences amongst tilt; New Guinea natives, and was attentively listened to. Mr, and Mrs. lironielow also sang a hymn ill the native dialect. This evening the rev. gentleman and his wife will give a lecture on missionary work iu New Guinea. Tlie I'isphmiule extension was well patronised by townspeople yesterday, and many were the appreciative remarks on the splendid improvement eU'eeted, making it possible to walk ill comfort from town almost to tiie 'breakwater along the water front. The over-run was 12.72 and the average test 4.03. The company is now making 1% tons of butter daily, a few boxvs more than at tnis time last year. The company will receive milk from more cows this year and increased supplies are expected more particularly from tne Mangawhero and Clival roads. Willi a good season the company will probably turn out about 850 tons of butter.

An official diagnosis showed that tlie mm was suffering from delirium tremens, I and next day, when he was much improved, lie was sent to New Plymouth gaol for seven days to fully recover Ilawera Star.
