AUCKLAND v. WANGANUI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Saturday Night. Auckland defeated ffanganui m a match for the New Zealand Hockey Association's championship shield at Remnera to-day. For the nrsc nvc minutes, Wanganui showed great dash, and Coe notchwl a goal. The Aupklanders then asserted themselves, and the Wanganui mun were never again in the hunt, Auckland eventually winning by !) goals to 1. For the winners, alllhu forwards scored, Mason getting three goals, Barry two, Brooke-Smith two, and Mather and Welhnm one each. Mr. E. E. Madden was an eliicient referee. Auckland have withstood sevt'n challenges for the shield this season, and will now hold it until next year.
