VOLUNTEERING.
A written examination of all noncommissioned officers who have held their acting appointment for six months will bo held at their respective headquarters as under:—Taranaki Rifles, 21st September; Taranaki Guards, 29til September; Inglewood Rifles, 23rd September; Eltham Rifles, 17tli September; Ha.wera Rifles, 23rd September; Waitara Rilles, 21st September. A practical examination will be held at dates to be notified later.
