Tie first round was uneventful, but In the second Lang met Burns straight On the chia, and sent the champion down for nine seconds, and the round elded in favor of Lang. At the end of the third round, LaDg looked tired, Burns keeping his opponcat constantly on the move. The fourth round held'a lot of trouble for Lang. He was sent down twice in succession, and then he caught the champion one heavy jolt with lus right. Burns' in-fighting was too much for the Victorian. . In the fifth round, Lang received a series of quick left-hand jabs, and then Burns dropped him for five seconds, and shortlv after floored him for eight teconda. 'Out of a quick exchange, Burns slipped, and was down for u couple of seconds, but found Lang's l*hin with a heavy right, and his oppon: ent was prone for lour seconds when the round closed. lb the sixth round. Burns had Lang dancing round the ring. He cornered' Jiim, and planted a scries of left jabs on his face and body. Twice in succession Burns dropped him, the first time lor eight seconds, and the second for nine seconds, the latter punch sending
lang through the ropes. Burns was "kidding" Lang, letting him laud him TO the face. Finally, the champion rushed his man across the ring, feinted Kritn his left, and sent a heavy right across which landed on the jaw, and blocked Lang clean out, when the round had ten seconds to go. I

He got up feebly, lifter a second knock-down Burns dropped his hands and let him Kit him on Hie face several times. Then the champion tapped Lang sharply on the point fend ended the fight.
