A SUDDEN DEATH.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Nighl, William Purler, a single man, aged i) years, died suddenly between i.iiO/ last night and 3.30 this morning on> the lisliing boat Jtarora. The deceased was (jut oil a week's lisiiing cruise with the two Sanford brothers. He seemed in tiiu best of spirits last night, and retired at 7..'i0. When tliey went tM wake him at 3.30 he wa» dead. Aa inquest will be held.
EXPLOSION OF BENZINE. Dimedin, Tuesday. An explosion of benzine occurred at 2 o'clock this morning in the storeroom 01' the U.S.S. Co.'s Moana. Three men were, in (jhe rooir. at the time. They dashed out covered in dames. They were the ship's storekeeper and two young engineers who were working on the ship. The former and one of the engineers have been removed to tQie hospital, being burned about the hands and face, but it is believed not dangerously. The third was burned about the legs, but the injuries are not severe.
