AUCKLAND LADIISS' CHAMPIONSHIP. | By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The ladies' hockey championship competition concluded yesterday, and' resulted in a win for the Moana Club, which occupied the same position last year. They played eight matches, winning seven and drawing one, tifreir record being 3G goals for and tw r o against.
CANTERBURY LADIES v. OTAGO LADIES. Christchurch, Saturday Night. The Intel-provincial ladies' hockey match between Canterbury and Otago was played this afternoon at Sydenham Park, and resulted m a draw, each side scoring two goals.
TARANAKD v. WELLINGTON. The Taranaki team tries conclusions with the Wellington team on Thursday. The. Wellington team is w, xiyi and lift the shield from Auckland, and as the Canterbury team defeated them by almost a similar score as Taranaki were defeated, it, promises to be a good game. If Fngan is unable to play Ihis place will be take by T Ponty Anderson, of the New ' Plymouth team.
