AN INEFFECTIVE BOXCOTT. Calcutta, August 27. Despite {he Swadeshi movement ia favor of boycotting foreign (especially English) goods, Hie imports to British India for Ul3 past year were 20 per cent, above those for the previous year. The value of the cotton imports increased by 17 per cent.
