A NEWSPAPER BILL.

SIGNING OF POLITICAL ARTICLES Melbourne, August 27. The Federal Cabinet is considering a Newspaper Bill. The Premier, Mr. A. Deakin, states that one provision" requires that any article or paragraph containing remarks or observations upon polltical matter must have the Christian name and surname of the writer attached to it in type twice _ the size of the type in whicfo the article is printed. The only defence to a libel action under the new Bill would be the truth of the statement. There is a furtner provision that corrections must bear the name of the person at whose instance they are inserted.
