thTnkw YORK SHOOTING CASK. New York, August 80. Captain Peter Hains, who shot and killed Mr. Annis, was stationed at Kort Hamilton. He had sued for a divorce, wJule Mrs. Hams, on Annis's advice, counter-sued for a divorce, alleging grave misconduct on the part of her husband and several other military officers. She declares Thornton llains, who is an author of "penny horribles," to be the villain of the tragedy. She also makes serious allegations regarding army life at isolated posts. All the parties are well known, and the casu attracts a tremendous amount of interest, as the case of Harry Thaw did.
