DAIRY COMPANY MEETINGS.

The following is the eighth annual report of the Mangatoki Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., for the year ending 30th June, 1908, to be submitted to "tho annual general meeting of shareholders to be held shortly:— In presenting the eighth annual report and balance-sheet, your directors have much pleasure in announcing the record price paid for butter-fat by the company. After writing oil £04(1 4s 4d for depreciation, there remains a further sum of £2,045 18s 7d to lie dealt with. Your directors recommend a dividend at the rate of 5 per cent, per annum 011 all paid-up share capital. This will amount to £305 10s, leaving £1740 8s 7d as a final payment pro rata on all butter-fat supplied by shareholders. Including dividend, this will give 11.88(1 per lb. for the past year. The amount of milk received was 22,800,5181b5, yielding Bf>l,2oolbs. of butter-fat and producing 430 tons 10 cwt. 2li lbs. of commercial butter, the over-run being 13.28 per cent.; the year's output being a deereav." 011 last year of 20 tons 10 cwt. 2 qrs. li lbs. The retiring directors are Messrs. T. 1!. Anderson, L. May, and .1. C. Wright, who are eligible and oiler themselves for l'e-eleclion. The balance-sheet shows that of £027 18s lid outstanding lasi year £2OB 5s lod was absorbed in the payment of 5 per cent. 011 paid-up capital, £350 5s 8d was paid to suppliers and 7s Sd carried forward. Including this the receipts for the year were £47,814 10s. This amount included £40,887 15s 9d from butter account, £37 from buttermilk, and £88!) 3s 4d accumulated profits received from the West Coast Refrigerating Company. The expenditure was £2045 18s 7d less than the receipts.
[ HUJAKAJIA. The fifth annual report and balancesheet of the lluiakama Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd., to be presented at the annual general meeting of shareholders 011 the 27th instant, sets forth that suppliers received the fairly good result of !)%d for their butter-fat. An increased milk supply, which means a lower post of manufacture, is anticipated for the coming season. The total yield of milk handled during the last season was 1,804.23011)3., as againsS 2,403,111 Whs. during the previous season, and the total output for last season was 75,3741b5. as against 104,1331bs the season before. A sum of £4O os 8d has been written off the company's assets to provide for depreciation, and other items of expenditure were:—Wages CIOO, fuel £lO7 2s, requisites £lO4 1 Is 4d. repairs ami renewals .C3O ISs 4d, and cartage of butter £2B 10s lOd.
