NOBODY'S CHILD.
FOU.ND JN A COAL BOX. By Telegraph.—l'ress Association. Wanganul, Last Night. At about (i o'clock Wis evening ail infant, apparently about three months old, was found in a coal box at the rear of an unoccupied liouse in Campbell street- A man working hi his garden heard cries about 3 o'clock, but did not take any notice, thinking it was a neighbor's child. As the cries continued, however, he made investigations, witlh tlie result that lie' found the child and took it to his wife, who is acting the good Samaritan. 'lhe child is dressed in a long white gown, and well wrapped iu flannels aucl a white shawl. It is healthy looking, and well nourished. The house wlliere the child was found 'is near St. .John's railway station, and the police think the infant may have been deposited by someone who came by train.
