Three hundred people assembled at Bathurst, where the first man ' left at 7 in the morning. A thousand people witnessed the finish at Ashfleld. Ninety-eight cyclists started. Turner, wlio had 48 minutes' start, covered the distance of 133% miles in 8 hours 4min and won; Paterson, with ', 42 minutes' start, taking 8 hours 14min 53iec, was second, and llyslop, with 52 minutes' start, 8 hours 24min 41scc, third. Lnrcouibu, scratch, who finished ninth, put up the fastest time, vi*., 7 hours 53iuin 40sec; and Keefe (Tasmania), 20 minutes* start, being second I fastest, 7miii 57sec. Summers (New Zealand) finished in the ruck. Received 10, 4.26* p.m. Sydney, August 10. In the road race, Larcombc led nt Penrith. Turner got in front before vouching Parramatta. ' ■
