BOXING.
A meeting of the New Plymouth Amateur Boxing Association was held last night, when the following ollicers were elected:—President, Mr. G. Tiseli; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Avery, G. Grev, and A. R Svkcs; toiuniittee, .Messrs. I'. Webster, J. S. S. Medley, L I llvan, A. 1!. Standish, Beade, A. Lovc- | ridge, C. E. Scabright, G. Treeby, and 1 Evans; auditor, Mr. McArthur; medical examiners, Drs. McC'lclaud, Wylie, and For.kes; secretary and treasurer, Mr. i A. C. Maxwell, it was decided to bold the annual tournament towards the end | of September, in the. Theatre Royal, tuc i contests to be for bantam, light, anl heavy weights, and novices not over lost 71b. A sub-committee consisting of Messrs. Evans, Stagpoole, and \. Lovegrovc was appointed to attend to the tournament arrangements.
