NO-LICENSE CAMPAIGN.
AXGLO-WELSiI FOOTBALLERS CRITICISED.

At a meeting of the,' Christchureh Presbytery to-day, the I'iev. J. Maclveuziu moved:—"That in view of the near approach of the local option poll, the Presbytery directs the attention of ministers' sessions and members of the Church generally to tile fact that the General Assembly has again and again allirmod the principles of no-license, and urges them to take practical steps in each congregation to secure an increased no-license vote at the forthcoming poll." A short discussion ensued, two or three speakers strongly criticising the action of the manager of the Anglo-Welsh footballers making an indictment against no-license, when the behaviour of the team over which he had control "was so far from being exemplary. The motion was put and curried unanimously.
