OVERDUE STEAMERS.
Bv Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. ' The Aeon, of the Australian Mail 'Line, is making a very long passage! from tfan Fraucisco to Auckland via Apia. Tile average trip of the steamers of this line is about 25 days, and the Aeon is now 35 days out, a fact which is causing some uneasiness in shipping circles, as it is feared an accident may ihave befallen the vessel, which holds thy. record of the line between 'Frisco and this port. News of the Aeon will be anxiously awaited. ' Auckland, luesday. _
The Flora left Auckland at 7 this morning to search at the Three Kings for the overdue Hawea. If she is unsuccessful She yill report at Cape Maria for instructions as zig-zaggmg aeroys the Tasman Sea to Newcastle. Tlie llaupiri is now searching up the coast, ller svarcli will extend as far as the Three Kings. The Iluddart-Parker steamers are also keeping a look-out.
