THE RE-UNION OF CHURCHES
ANGLICAN CHURCH AND THE DISSENTING CHURCHES. A PROMISING OUTLOOK. Received 10,10.32 p.m. „ . .. London, August 10. Defeils show that the Lambeth Conference suggested that in the event of any prospect of reunion between a church of the Anglican communion and a jy Presbyterian or other non-episcopal cnnrcH, while preserving the faith in its integrity and purity, care has to be exhibited regarding the form and intention of ordination to-the ministry. When reaching the stage of official negotiations, it might be possible to approach the reunion on the basis.of consecration to the episcopate on the lines suggested by such precedents as those of 1610. Received 10, 10.40 p.m. London, August 10. It was further resolved, "That the Conference considers it might be possible to authorise arrangements during the period of transition towards full union on the basis of euiscoDal ordination which would respect the convictions of those who had not received episcopal orders without involving any surrender on our part of the principle in the church order laid down in the preface to the'ordinal attached to the Prayer Book."
