MORTALITY AT FERNIE. FIRE STILL RAGING. Vancouver,"August 7. There have been thirty death's at Fernie. The people arc returning to re-build tha town. The fire is still raging in the mountains, but Jiosmer and Michel are still safe. AUSTRALIAN SYMPATHY. Melbourne, August 8. Lord Northcote, the retiring Govern-or-Gvneral, and Mr. A. Dcakin, Federal Premier, have cabled to Canada messages Of sympathy with those who have suffered by the bush fires.
