THE ALL STAR NOVELTY COMPANY Mr. H. I'crcival, touring manager of '•The All Star Novelty Company,'' was in town on Wednesday making arrangements for the appearance of the company at New Plymouth. Two performances will be given at (he Theatre lioyal —next' Monday and Tuesday evenings. The combination consists of twelve vaudeville stars who have Ijcen appearing with Harry Rickards and Fullers in Australian and New Zealand centres. Pictures of the America a Fleet will be shown, so that those who are unable to proceed to Auckland will still have a chance of seeing the "Armada."

THE MALLINSONS. A notable musical event in local history takes place at the Theatre Hoval on Monday, 17th instant, when the Mallinson song recital will be given. Tin's recital will provide a rare musical treat, for Mr. Mallinson's charming songs—which have won world-wide appreciation —will be rendered by bis talented wiie. Madame Anna Steinhauer. The l/ondon Daily Telegraph recently published a long appreciation of this great composer's works, in the course of which it said; "lie is in his music everything by turns, according to the demands of the poems, he is setting—now dainty and piquant, and quaint, pathetic, dramatic, almost invariably picturesque in the vocal melodies and the exceptionally clever accompaniments." Of Mrs. Mulliuson the Times said: 'She makes lv mark by her intensity of expression and her' perfect freedom from affectation; all the resources of vocal color aw hers." The Mallinsons are assisted by Miss Rebe Kussmanu, a young violinist, whose tone and technique are said to he truly wonderful, Mr. Robyns, the w<>'.!known Australian basso, and Miss Evelvn Wymaii, pianist. The box plan will be at'the Dresden Piano Company.
