He is at present in tlw South Island, and is meeting with every mark ot favor, lie opens m Wellington on August IX when "Judas Maccabeus," "Stabat Mater," "Faust," etc., will be sung. Mr. Saunders' frequent engagements for the big Handel festival held at the Crystal Palace, London, where the choir and orchestra runs into thousands, and the audience on the last occasion mmiVc.red 34,000, speaks for itself. The Australian and Tasnianian tour just completed has been very successful, and as the party must leave Auckland for Home engagements at the end of August, this will be the only opportunity of hearing this great artist. Being "trf the manner 'born," her Scotch numbers cause great amusement, while she is equally good in oratorio or English ballad. 'No lover of music or student should miss being present.
